[After Perry noticed that Rise vanished, he shut down completely. Losing his two closest friends here in a short period of time really took a toll on him, and soon he decided something:
He was not going to let anyone get this close to him, for everyone's sake.
So he packs everything up and leaves the house he was staying in in less than an hour, not even bothering to let anyone else know where's he's going.
However, while he didn't want anyone to worry about him, his Pokemon were incredibly worried about their trainer, especially his starter Bartholomew. He tried talking to him for hours to try to cheer him up but the most Perry will speak to him it reassuring Bartholomew that he's fine in a really cold-sounding voice.
Eventually he realized that he has no idea how to fix this, so when Perry's not paying attention (which, to be fair, wasn't super hard since he didn't seem to be paying attention to anything besides walking), Bartholomew snatched his Pokegear to ask everyone how to solve this.
Admittedly he's never written anything before, but he watched his trainer text a lot, especially when he still couldn't talk, so it shouldn't be too hard?]
HELP
PERRY IS WEIRD
BAD WEIRD
HE IS RUNNING AWAY
WILL BARELY SPEAK TO ME
WHAT DO I DO
[After about a minute Bartholomew decides he should clarify something.]
THIS IS BARTHOLOMEW THE GOLDUCK

THIS IS BARTHOLOMEW THE GOLDUCK

HIS FRIEND DISAPPEARED TODAY
THAT WAS THE SECOND ONE RECENTLY
PRETTY SURE THAT'S THE SOURCE
[Unless Perry had an exceptionally weird dream last night but that's doubtful.]

Why do people keep leaving?
Did they at least say goodbye?
no subject
BUT IF SHE HAD PERRY DIDN'T READ IT
I DON'T THINK HE COULD HAVE HANDLED IT
no subject
no subject
BUT SINCE I DOUBT HE WOULD READ IT EVEN IF I SHOVED IT IN HIS FACE, I SHOULD WORK UP TO THAT
no subject
Or get one of the psychic types to do it.
no subject
UNLESS THE LETTER SPECIFICALLY TELLS HIM NOT TO DO THAT WHICH WOULD BE AMAZING FORESIGHT
no subject
That's the fastest way.
no subject
IT'S IF HE'LL BOTHER TO LISTEN WHEN HE DOES HEAR IT
HE'S KIND OF STUBBORN
no subject
That's what they do in movies to make people listen to creepy stuff.
no subject
I'M NOT EVEN ENTIRELY SURE IT EXISTS SINCE I WOKE UP JUST BEFORE WE HAD TO LEAVE
no subject
You knew the person, right?
Or just tie him to a tree, wait till he stops screaming, and then tell him!
no subject
no subject
Do whatever it takes to make him stay in one place.
no subject
[He kind of feels bad for anyone who's feeling down while he's around.]
no subject
This is good advice.
[Gravity Falls, man. Gravity Falls.]
no subject
IT'S BAD, BUT NOT I ONLY WORRY ABOUT HIS LIVELIHOOD
no subject
Or find one of this friends who'll track him down for you.
Else he'll freeze to death.
no subject
HONESTLY AT THIS POINT THE FORCING HIM TO READ THE LETTER SEEMS A LITTLE MORE APPEALING
no subject
Then go and find that letter if it exists!
no subject
IF IT'S ANYWHERE, IT'LL BE IN HIS BACKPACK
IT MIGHT TAKE AWHILE TO GET IT OUT SINCE WE'RE STILL MOVING BUT ONCE HE STOPS I'LL GO CHECK IT
no subject
no subject
IT'S AMAZING HOW HE'S STILL SO STUBBORN DESPITE ALL THIS

Especially adults.
